CANADA ROCKS!!

This section is on my trip to Canada. I went there with my french class. I took a five day trip to Quebec and Montreal. We went by bus. That was cool but very annoying. We had to be on the bus like 10 hours each way, not to mention all the rides we took in it going around the city.

I'll start tell you the entire story. First we left our school in our high class bus. We didn't think we'd like traveling in a school bus up there so we pulled for the extra cash and got a big and high quality bus. We, or really our bus driver Bruce drove us to upper New York where we got to stop and visit Fort Ticonderoga. We also went to some battle sites of the battle of saratoga. We took a bunch of pictures there. I'll put the pictures on the page later. I took a beautiful picture of a girl I happen to have liked at the time, and then we went to the gift shop. That's basically it for New York. We got back on the bus and drove a bunch of hours to Montreal. We went threw custumes in like five minutes. Then we got to our hotel for the night. We stayed at the Hotel Governance. We threw our junk in our rooms and then played around. A bunch of cool things happened at that point. We were tired and hot so we took showers. My friend Dave decided to go first. I wasn't in any hurry so I told him to go ahead. So I wondered down the hall and decided to visit the girls. This group of girls was: Monica, Mary, Leslie, and Danielle. I got there and laughed and had some fun, the I told the girls that david was taking a shower so we decided to go bug him. Me and the girls went into my room, and started to bang on the walls yelling for dave. He was suprised to say the least. We went back to there room to get another person and went back to my room again. When I opened the door David was there in his towel. The girls fell down laughing. We slammed the door shut and began to laugh till we couldn't breathe. Naturally I told people and we all laughed. So then we left to hotel and went to eat. We went to the Resturant du Vieux Port. We got there and had a blast. Me, nick, monica, danielle, merideth, and two other people I think sat together at one big table. We met these cute girls from canada there. One of the girls spilled water on nick so everyone laughed and nick blammed his napkin. Nick is under the impression that if he uses a napkin at dinner then he will get dirty. He happen to have it on we he was spilled on. Naturally this was a strange concept, but it was a great way to meet these girls. They were very cute. I thought that they were american at one point. They didn't seem to speak french, or look it. So, then after we met some absolutely beautiful women we went to the circus. It was called the Cirque du soleil. It was a gret show. It wasn't like the american cirus though. There were no animals. The people in the play dressed up like them. We met a guy in the circus that looked and acted like Kramer from Seinfield. It was all in french canadian so it was a little hard to understand, but we got the jist of it. Then we went back to the hotel. We didn't have much to do in the hotel. The teachers and other parents that came with us locked us in our rooms at night. We had a phone that connected to other rooms so it wasn't to bad. Me, nick, dave, and dan stayed in a room together. We were the crazy people on the trip in my opinion. The teachers even roomed next to us on purpose so that we would be softer but it didn't work. We kept the entire floor awake until 1:30 in the morning when we decided to finally go to sleep. We had to get up at 7 the next day to check out so we thought 5 1/2 hours of sleep would be ok. I was on a sugar kick, so I could have gone the entire night. We played so many jokes and stuff like that on each other before we went to bed. I tried to talk to the girls but dan kept hanging up the phone. We played truth or dare and had a lot of fun. We had a picture incident too. Dan took nick's camera and pretended to take pictures with it. The he started really taking pictures and nick got pissed. So they wrestled on the bed for 5 minutes trying to take it away from each other, until dave stood up in front of them in his boxers and dan happen to take a picture at that moment. So then nick had a picture of dave in his boxers in his camera. I have the picture. It was on a computer disk nick gave me. I figure I'll keep it for blackmail, or until he becomes the president or something. We heard a little something form all the rooms around ours the next day. I guess they thought we were to loud! The next morning we went to breakfest at Aux Delices du Vieux Montreal. We ate crepe. We kept eating crepe on this trip. Too much crepe I say! I don't like crepe. Give me a pancake if you want me to eat something small and light. The next day we went to the biodome. The bio dome was cool but it was also hot. There were 4 different atmospheres in this dome and they made you go from really hot in one to really cold in the other. Then we went to Olympic stadium. This is where the montreal expos play. If you follow baseball. We went up the inclined part of it. Look at the picture below and try to see the giant tower like thing coming off of it. We went up a giant elevator in that tower to get to the top. We had a very high view of montreal from there! So from here. We were 556 feet in the air and all of us are talking. Almost no one is looking out the windows. So finally I took a picture of the majestic sight below. It's below. It was very beautiful. Even though someone was mad at me and I had that on my mind. But I got over it, and decided to have alittle fun. We took the subway to old montreal to see a church. The subway system there is very clean, and unlike in New York, if they find any garbage or graphite they aresst you or fine you. The consider it a treasure to there socity. It is very clean so it is really no problem riding it alone or in a giant group like ours. So we get to this church and it is amazing. It was huge. I kept taking pictures of it and finally I got a good shot. I took a picture of this awome statue on top of the church. It had the sun behind it at just the right moment so it looked like a glowing angel. So we got into the church and they told us take your pictures within 10 feet for the to come out. It was very dark so a flash was needed. I was busy looking around to hear them say that so I was taking pictures of things 20 maybe 30 feet away from me. A few pictures didn't really come out on that role! So then we had lunch for an hour and they just let us wonder around the city. It is very safe there so we had no need to worry. We found that in canada they have a mcdonalds every 10 feet! They have hundreds of them in a 1 mile stretch of road. So we ate there. It was better than the ones here in the USA! It was cleaner and more up lifting. Then we jumped back on the bus for a 3 hour ride to Quebec city. We got there and drove to Quality Suites hotel where we were staying. We had a few minutes to get rid of our junk again, and then we went to a mall that was like a minute walk away. There were many stores there. We wanted to ride the roller coaster around in the mall, but it was closed for the time being. Then after an hour of fun we went to dinner at the Resturant le Bobaparte. It was a ok place. We had a cake for one of our teachers. It was her birthday. The cake was fun. It was one of the ones that you put rum on and then light it on fire. It was cool. I liked. It tasted like maple. I pretended I was drunk on cake for a while and made everyone laugh. It was a blast. I kept tripping and falling. It was cool. Then when we were leaving my friend danielle fell down onb the stairs. It added to the act. I said she had too much cake. Then we left and went to this little theater in quebec and saw this play on the history of canada. I got to be an indian. It was a memorable experience to say the least. Then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. We wrote notes to the security guard that was on duty. He was so funny. He kept telling us to go to sleep. So the next morning we had a character breakfest. We went to a play that was in the same place as our meal. Then we went to go see our penpals. There was a clear dispute in what we had to do. We the americans had to talk in french to the canadians. So we went around the city buying things. Naturally we needed to pay for them. We had to talk in french and find directions to some place. The canadians aren't very nice when you try to talk in there language to them. I tried to talk to one guy for directions, and he blew me off like he was n a hurry and couldn't be stopped by any american for even the least bit of time. Then we went to lunch. After lunch we got to go on a treasure hunt. It was cool. We got to go all over the city. It was a blast. I bought more things then I should have but I did get a cool hat. It was one of those hats they sell at baseball games. One with two soda cans on the side with a big straw coming out of both of them. It was cool. You should have seen the looks I got from people. Then we got to go to Montmorency Falls. This is a waterfall in quebec that is much taller than Niagra falls, but not as wide. It's a cool place. I spilled all my soda on myself when I was there. I also had a little problem with two of my friends but I wont get into that. We had a chance to walk around in the falls too. We could either take a stair case down to the bottom of the falls where you could get soaked from head to toe or take another stair case that took you away from the falls. Guess which one I took. I went for the get drenched stair case. I thought it was so cool. It was the best time I had in canada. Then we got soaked and ran around in all the water. There are pictures of the falls below. I took one while I was in the waterfall. It was weird. I thought I fudged up the camera until I got the film developed. Then we went to a resturant called Cabane a sucre. It was an ok place I guess. We had to eat with a bunch of french kids. Our french teacher told us that usually everyone that eats there is american. She told us that the touring company that we used usually books a bunch of american kids to eat there at one night. We were wrong but we still had fun. A bunch of people from our class danced in front of us for entertainment. It was cool. My friend mary freaked after we told her she was eating pork. It was an interesting situation. I got sick of being at the table mainly because of my problem with my friend but again I wont get into that. So I was out side and I sat and looked out at the beautiful country side. It was amazing. After that we basically played with this little fake, stuffed racoon that this kid ryan bought. Nick kidnaped it and kept it until the end of the trip. They didn't have a clue where it was. It was very funny. After that we had to go back to the hotel. It was pretty cool there. We had a party. Our cool french teacher came to it. We had drinks and food, and we let this kid in named steve because he brought food and cards and stuff like that. Then we wrote more notes to our security guard. He was french so he had no clue what we were saying, or atleast I think so. Anyway the next day we went to breakfest at so little cafe in the latin quater of quebec, and had some giant bowls of hot chocolate. It was good! Then went to go see a film at this Imax theater. We learned more about the history of quebec. It was a 3d film. We had to wear those glasses that have a red and a blue lense. I didn't like it much. I had to wear my glasses and the 3d glasses. It looked weird and hurt my eyes. Then they let us walk around the city. I bought a cool canada hat and three necklaces for me and my two other friends. They don't wear them, but I cherish mine. It ment alot to me. It represented my trip and all the experiences that I had in canada. I spent my last dollar on those necklaces but it was worth it. Then we took a ferry across the St. Laurence river. It was a huge ferry. I loved the ride. I spent it with someone who I thought would enjoy how beautiful it was but they were paying attention to someone else so to speak. Then we go on the bus and went home to america. It was a trip and experience that I will cherish and remember forever.

This is a freaky picture that I took of a statue on top of a church in Montreal.

This is my friend Nick. He is sitting on a couch that was in one of our hotels. As you can see by the way the room looks, we kind of trashed it. It was cool.
